Case studies
The job, the fix, and the verdict.

A new bathroom, and a loft-fed shower that actually performs
The job — A full bathroom, fed from a loft tank rather than the mains — the arrangement that most often produces a disappointing shower if the plumbing behind it isn't thought through.
What we did — New suite and pipework throughout, with an Aqualisa shower chosen and installed to suit a loft-fed supply, a towel rail run off the heating circuit, and the head height and gradient sorted before the tiling started. Clear communication all the way through — the customer's words, not ours.
“Both Jerry and Boris are polite, professional and hard working chaps who offer good customer service. They did a great job on fitting our new bathroom with loft fed Aqualisa shower, offering clear communication throughout.”

A radiator working again for the first time in years
The job — A heating system that had quietly stopped doing its whole job — one radiator cold for years, and nobody had got to the bottom of why.
What we did — Appliance and system checked properly, combustion measured with the flue gas analyser rather than guessed at, the circuit traced and the flow restored, then the system rebalanced so the fix stayed fixed.
“Prompt, professional and friendly service always. Today we also saw some magic and our radiator is working again for the first time in years!”

An unvented cylinder piped up to last
The job — A property needing mains-pressure hot water, which means an unvented cylinder, its safety kit, and a set of pipe runs that have to be right before anything gets boarded over.
What we did — Cylinder set, copper run and made off cleanly, expansion vessel, pressure reducing valve, tundish and relief discharge all installed and tested — the unglamorous half of the job that decides whether anyone ever has to come back.
“Fantastic service, very professional and knowledgeable. His installation was perfect and he left with no mess at all very quick and very efficient.”

On the tools.

An unvented cylinder set and piped up in a first-fix plant space — copper runs, expansion vessel and safety discharge all made off before anything gets boarded over.

Underfloor manifold and loops set out on a first fix, each circuit labelled and pinned down before the screed goes on.

A finished loft en-suite: walk-in shower, linear drain and a towel rail run off the heating circuit.

Combustion being measured with a flue gas analyser during a service — the part of the job that can't be done by eye.

A loft plant space finished off: cylinder, boiler, expansion vessel and controls, with the pipework lagged and clipped.

A boiler opened up on a service — fan, heat exchanger and gas valve checked in order rather than parts changed hopefully.

First fix in a loft conversion: expansion vessel mounted, pipe runs set out and tanks positioned before the boarding goes down.

A wall-hung boiler fitted into the sort of awkward cupboard most houses actually have — flue routed out and the cupboard still usable.

Inside an older appliance during a strip-down — the combustion side, where a proper service earns its money.

The van you'll see outside — the same number on the side as the one that rings.
